So, we just reached 1000 members! This is in just a few months and while building the Site – thanks for joining and thanks especially for your patience!

Introduction

I am Fraser. I live in Harlem, New York but I am originally from Northern Ireland. I was born in 1970 and grew up “a child of the troubles” because terrorism in Northern Ireland started in 1970! Thank God the troubles have all but fizzled out now. I have a little boy of my own now and between him and running my US Corporation, FraserDB, Inc all my time is pretty much taken up! Where ever you are from in the World I hope to meet you on SpinTheCam soon!

The Big Launch

We are launching SpinTheCam at the New York TechCrunch Disrupt conference on Monday May 24th. We will be mixing with investors and the media and we have a stall in the famous Start-up Alley! See http://disrupt.techcrunch.com/ for more details.

Our Purpose

Making a new friend or connection somewhere else on the planet is a beautiful thing. That is our goal for SpinTheCam. I think it is this wonderful idea that caused Chatroulette.com to grew so fast but it seems to have lost its way. Some other sites have produced variations that are also cool and, in fact, I have added them under “Chatroulettes” so you can play them too while visiting SpinTheCam.

Your Involvement

I am going to email you a few time in the run-up to TechCrunch and keep you involved. There are many ways you can help and be a part of this – here is a big one for starters: We will meet with Andrey Ternovskiy the founder of chatroulette and his interested VCs at TechCrunch. Why not send them an email at ideas@chatroulette.com and tell them about SpinTheCam and suggest a partnership so that chatroulette.com becomes part of an awesome social network overnight.
